MONTH 1:
Charlotte's first official "Hey I'm 1 Month Now" post got lost among...well...LIFE HAPPENING! I really want to blog as much about her as I have about Avery, but I know that's gonna be tough. However, better later than never!
In Charlotte's first month, she was a busy little baby. She got jaundice, which only lasted for about 2 days. I noticed how yellow she looked when I took her newborn pictures. Here she is at 5 days old...not looking really yellow because I know how to edit;)
We had a good friend and excellent photographer come to the house and take our family pictures when she was 2 weeks old. Thank you Theary Meak Photography!
When she wasn't traveling all over Gwinnett and Hall counties, she was SLEEPING! And what an amazing sleeper she is. Lots of naps and sleeping well through the night helped us adjust back to having a newborn.
Charlotte woke up only once or twice during the night in her first month.
Big sister Avery LOVES cuddling with Charlotte.
I love taking pictures of her tiny fingers and toes.
TWO WEEKS OLD ON THE LEFT...ONE MONTH OLD ON THE RIGHT
At her one month check up she weighed 8lb 15oz and was 20.5 inches long. That was nearly a 2 lb increase in weight and 1.5 inches in length.
MONTH 2:
Of course we had to introduce her to the lake life early on.
While she slept, Avery played nurse and mermaid. Her nick name is "Charlotte Barlotte". It is the most RIDICULOUS name ever, but it rolls off the tongue :)
Avery was also a great help feeding and holding Charlotte...that is until she got too "hot and sweaty" and begged for me to get her off. Charlotte is now sleeping mostly through the night with only 1 wake up time. She goes to bed around 7:30-8:00 pm., wakes up around 2:30 am, sleeps again until 6:30 am, and goes back to sleep until around 9:00 am. She then takes a 3 hour nap, eats around lunch, and sleeps another 2 hours. PRAISE THA LAWDDDD!!!! He knew I needed a good sleeper after Avery. Whew!
She became more and more alert in her second month.
But fell asleep during tummy time
The longest trip she took was to Glennville, Ga to see my dad, "Papa" and meet her great-grandmother, "Bama".
Papa on the left...Bama on the right. Charlotte is her 6th great-grandchild.
2 MONTHS OLD! Here is Charlotte on June 26 when she turned 2 months old. She immediately started smiling and laughing when I took these pictures. I was loving seeing her sweet smile!!
At her check up, she weighed 11lbs 1 oz and measured 22 inches long. Growing like a butterball weed.
We love you Charlotte Elsie and your sweet little cuddles, smiles, rolls, fuzzy head, and tiny toes.
