Ho Ho..Reindeer Food..and a Minnie Bike

Christmas in the Ewing house was full of family, food, and great memories.  This Christmas was a lot of fun since Avery is now 2.5 and understands who Santa Claus is, or "HO HO",  as she still calls him sometimes.  My parents and sister came to the house for Christmas Eve and gave us the chance to continue our Christmas Eve traditions.

We threw out reindeer food in the yard.
That's my dad behind her in his camo.  It keeps him warm:)
I love how it looks like snow:)
She 'saw' Santa and Rudolph flying the sky and yelled to them..."Santaaaaaa!!!! Please bring me a Minnie Mouse BIIIIIIIKEE!"
I finally got to take a picture of our Christmas tree.
 The coveted Minnie Mouse bike.
Santa came! We said Santa would only bring three gifts (even though a few extra little things got thrown in).  I like the idea of keeping it a three gift minimum because Jesus received three gifts when he  was born...AND....she's going to get so much from family anyway!
 The first look...
 She sees the Minnie bike!
And she runs like the wind:)
Opening her stocking.  Look at that hair! She's notorious for some crazy bed head.
Her Play-Doh masterpiece.  All 20 color variations on one "hill".
She's so proud of herself! haha.
Papa obviously didn't get enough for Christmas, so Avery showered him with gifts.
 Always a kid at heart!
The Armstrong family...minus one...together at Christmas.  Merry Christmas Jacob!
After eating waaaaay too much food that mom made...we had a little break between families.  That evening, Michael's parents came to the house...and the gifts continued!  This is Avery's new "Bulldog" chair they bought her.  It even has a cup holder for her chocolate milk.  She really liked that part!
 Lip gloss!!!!
Giving Da a kiss with her sticky lips.
Mimi bought Avery four different dresses to play in.  The first one was a "married" dress and she LOVED it.  She's holding my "married" flowers and checking herself out in the mirror.
 Admiring her Snow White dress.
 We can't forget Cinderella.
Group picture!  Cotton just licked my face before the picture.
 Mimi and Da!
The day after Christmas we went to Michael's grandparents' house.  MaMa and DaDa love their little princess.
She got a Baby Alive and was holding, shooshing, and kissing her all night while telling her in a whispering voice..."Shhh, it's gonna be ok, baby."
She arrived as Snow White and left as Belle.  Every new outfit she opened she had to put on instantly. This is her riding Mimi's horse when she was a little girl.

We can definitely say this Christmas was a great one...not because of the good gifts we gave and received, but because of the family we got to spend it with.  It was very important for me to let Avery know we really celebrate Christmas because it was when Jesus was born.  I think she got it when she told me a few weeks ago..."Baby Jesus is in my belly".  Hahaha...ok Avery!
