Prima Ballerina

Avery's first year of ballet is complete!  I was so excited when she started her very first day back in September, and it's even better to see how much she's learned throughout the year.  Buford School of Ballet is a great studio and they also incorporate their faith in Christ into their teaching of dance.  Avery's class didn't participate in the recital at the end of the year, but they did have a parent exhibition on their last day.

First day of ballet....loving that stamp on her hand.
Last day of ballet...composed and poised:)
Michael left work a little early to come watch.  He's never been to the studio before to see her dance, so I was happy he could watch her in action.  He called me 10 minutes before class started and said, "Hey, I'm here at this Academy of Dance and I don't see you."  He drove all the way to the WRONG dance studio! This whole year, he never knew where she went to dance! Haha. I could have sworn I told him "Buford School of Ballet" in Hamilton Mill at least once or twice during her 9 month session.
He rushed over and made it just in time to watch the entire class.  The look on her face when he arrived was precious.  She ran right up to her teacher and said, "My daddy's here!"

Awesome first position, Avery:)

The first pair of ballet shoes...YES, they will be framed.

  1. Hey it's Miss Natalie. I hope y'all are doing well. One of my students showed me this tonight. It brought back some great memories. I remember Avery saying, "wait for me"when we would gallop.
