Charlotte's First 2 Months

MONTH 1:
Charlotte's first official "Hey I'm 1 Month Now" post got lost among...well...LIFE HAPPENING!  I really want to blog as much about her as I have about Avery, but I know that's gonna be tough.  However, better later than never!

In Charlotte's first month, she was a busy little baby.  She got jaundice, which only lasted for about 2 days.  I noticed how yellow she looked when I took her newborn pictures.  Here she is at 5 days old...not looking really yellow because I know how to edit;)
In the midst of that, she went to her first dance recital at only 1 week old.
We had a good friend and excellent photographer come to the house and take our family pictures when she was 2 weeks old.  Thank you Theary Meak Photography!
When she wasn't traveling all over Gwinnett and Hall counties, she was SLEEPING! And what an amazing sleeper she is.  Lots of naps and sleeping well through the night helped us adjust back to having a newborn.

Charlotte woke up only once or twice during the night in her first month.
Big sister Avery LOVES cuddling with Charlotte.
I love taking pictures of her tiny fingers and toes.
She spent some time outside under the deck and slept while Avery played.
TWO WEEKS OLD ON THE LEFT...ONE MONTH OLD ON THE RIGHT
At her one month check up she weighed 8lb 15oz and was 20.5 inches long.  That was nearly a 2 lb increase in weight and 1.5 inches in length.

MONTH 2:

Of course we had to introduce her to the lake life early on.
While she slept, Avery played nurse and mermaid.  Her nick name is "Charlotte Barlotte".  It is the most RIDICULOUS name ever, but it rolls off the tongue :)
Avery was also a great help feeding and holding Charlotte...that is until she got too "hot and sweaty" and begged for me to get her off.  Charlotte is now sleeping mostly through the night with only 1 wake up time.  She goes to bed around 7:30-8:00 pm., wakes up around 2:30 am, sleeps again until 6:30 am, and goes back to sleep until around 9:00 am.  She then takes a 3 hour nap, eats around lunch, and sleeps another 2 hours.  PRAISE THA LAWDDDD!!!! He knew I needed a good sleeper after Avery.   Whew!
She became more and more alert in her second month.
But fell asleep during tummy time
The longest trip she took was to Glennville, Ga to see my dad, "Papa" and meet her great-grandmother, "Bama".
Papa on the left...Bama on the right.  Charlotte is her 6th great-grandchild.
2 MONTHS OLD! Here is Charlotte on June 26 when she turned 2 months old.  She immediately started smiling and laughing when I took these pictures.  I was loving seeing her sweet smile!!
At her check up, she weighed 11lbs 1 oz and measured 22 inches long.  Growing like a butterball weed.

We love you Charlotte Elsie and your sweet little cuddles, smiles, rolls, fuzzy head, and tiny toes.

Last Day of School

School is out for summer and another great year at Celebration Academy has come and gone.  Avery had WONDERFUL teachers and an excellent group of classmates who kept the year entertaining.
The parents joined together with the kids for a picnic in the parking lot to say goodbye for summer.
Here she is...MRS SUE!!! What a blessing she was to all of the students and Avery.  We got the BEST news on the last day of school...Mrs. Sue is moving up to the 4 year old class! Whoo hoo! We are all very excited for Avery to have her and Mrs. Michelle again next year.
Here is Avery back in September on the first day of school.
Here she is with her crew on the last day of school.  Feeling a bit more confident, I believe ;)
Now that summer is here...it's time to put into effect all those swim lessons!!!

Gymnastix Xtravaganza

This was the first year Avery participated in gymnastics.  I knew it was time to sign her up when she was climbing and balancing on the furniture at home.
She took lessons at Gymnastix Training Center in Buford, Ga.  She loved it and here are pictures from the end of the year "Xtravaganza".

She received her very first trophy and it was so cute when all the kids stood on the podium and held up their trophy above their head, like an Olympic Gold Medalist:)

Happy Anniversary to my very best friend and husband...Michael!  Today is our 8 year anniversary and I thought it would be fun to take a look back at our time together.

Here we are in Miami on college spring break.  This was the day he told me he loved me...regardless of my freshman 15...(and then some!) I loved him too...regardless if he wore cowboy boots on the beach.
