Look Who Came to Visit

Avery had a surprise visit today from none other than...Ma-Ma and Da-da. These are her great-grandparents (Michael's grandparents, Mrs. Vickie's parents). Fortunately, the house was clean and decorated for Christmas, so I only had a little bit of "panic clean-up" to do before they came over.

Ma-ma and Da-da are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet...if you ever get the chance to meet them! Ma-ma, or Mrs. Elsie to others, is a wonderful cook and bakes the best goodies. Da-da, or Mr. Jim, has the greenest thumb in all of Smyrna, Georgia. You should see his back yard. They are both so giving and loving. I am blessed to have them as another set of grandparents in my life.

Avery is a first for many....our first child, the first grandchild on both sides, and Ma-ma and Da-da's first great-grandchild.
Da-da didn't let go of Avery. I think he let Ma-ma hold her for maybe 5 minutes, total.
Savoring every hug...before Da-da steals her away.
He's used to fathering girls, so it only comes natural.
We were so glad they stopped by to visit...but I'm sure they were just a little happier!

  1. Those are the best of times when great grands connect with the babies! Definitely make routine visits with Ma-ma & Da-da! So worth every moment with such sweet & jolly relatives! Avery will look forward to their visits!
