OVERALL...it's been a good crop

Farmer Avery's had a good crop this summer and grew a mess of tomatoes, hot peppers, squash, bell peppers, and okra.  Unfortunately, her strawberries didn't make it, which she was pretty bummed about because her momma loves strawberries.  She asked me this morning if I would dress her up in her farming clothes and take some pictures for her.  I didn't object!

Farmer Avery is selling her homegrown vine-ripe tomatoes.  She likes her to wear her daddy's first pair of overalls from when he was a baby.  She said they're comfortable.

She just found out Farmer Brown is selling his tomatoes next door for much cheaper.  She is not happy about that.
"MATERS FOR SELL! ONLY FIFTY CENTS A BUNDLE! COME AND GET YOUR MATERS!"
When a customer asked how they tasted, she licked her lips and said, "Finger lickin' good!"
Farmer Avery is deciding whether to call it a day.  Unfortunately, she didn't sell all of her tomatoes.
She decided to stop and take a nap in front of her vegetable garden.  She told me it was her siesta, and I had to remind her she wasn't Hispanic.
Farming is a hard job that can wear a little girl out!
Avery comes from a long line of "Overalls-lovers".  This is me wearing my overalls.
Uncle Jacob had some, too!

We can't forget Daddy.  He loved overalls so much he wore them on his first day of school...

...and still wears them now!
